Prospective Lamar University students should apply for admission online using the statewide Apply Texas system.

Entering freshmen should also have their official high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores sent to Lamar University. Use SAT Code 6360 or ACT Code 4114. This requirement also applies to students with high school dual credit or AP/IB credit and transfer students with fewer than 18 hours of college credit.
Transfer students, including those with fewer than 18 hours of college credit, should also have official copies of all prior college and university transcripts sent to Lamar University. This applies regardless of the length of attendance and regardless of whether credit was earned.

Graduate students, in addition to the online application through Apply Texas, should submit official transcripts from each college or university attended including the accredited institution that awarded the applicant’s bachelor’s degree. Graduate students also should submit scores on the GRE or GMAT (for MBA applicants). Both tests are administered by the LU Career & Testing Center.
Post-baccalaureate and post masters students should complete and submit an online application at Apply Texas. These post-degree program students also should submit official transcripts from the college or university where the bachelor’s or master's degree was conferred.
